500 lpd commercial ro plant
500 LPH Commercial RO Plant
Application

A 500 LPH Commercial RO Plant can produce 500 liters of purified drinking water per hour, making it ideal for locations with a daily water requirement of 2,000 liters. It can be seamlessly integrated with water coolers and automated systems. If water demand exceeds 2,000 liters, the plant can operate additional hours, though 4 hours of daily operation is recommended for optimal efficiency.

Description
Micron Filtration:
A cartridge filter removes suspended particles and prevents foreign materials from entering the final treatment stage, ensuring clean water pre-treatment.
High-Pressure Pump:
To overcome natural osmotic pressure, a high-pressure pump generates the necessary thrust for ion separation. Depending on the system design, an initial feed pressure is determined. A vertical multi-stage centrifugal pump is typically used for this purpose.
Reverse Osmosis System:
The RO system uses advanced TFC membranes to reduce dissolved solids. Water is separated into two streams:

Product Stream: Contains 2-3% of the feed salt, providing purified water.
Reject Stream: Contains 97-98% of concentrated salts, which is discharged as wastewater.
Depending on feed conditions and control parameters, the system can achieve a recovery rate of 60-75%.

Dual Media Filter:
The dual media filter acts as an external protective unit for the RO machine. It removes color, turbidity, and suspended impurities from raw water before it enters the micron filter. Activated carbon in this chamber also helps deactivate certain bacteria and viruses, enhancing water quality and extending the RO system’s lifespan.

Membranes:
Membranes act as the barrier for ionic separation, splitting water into two streams: purified and reject water. The separation ratio depends on the system design and ranges from 0.3 to 0.7. Proper pre-treatment is essential due to sensitivity to fouling and scaling. Polyamide thin-film composite membranes are commonly used and imported for quality assurance.

RO Skid:
The skid supports essential components like the pressure vessel, membrane, control panel, and pressure gauges. The skid-mounted design facilitates easier and faster assembly at the factory. An isometric AutoCAD design is used for skid fabrication to maximize space utilization and improve plant aesthetics.

Instrumentation:
An online conductivity meter continuously monitors water quality at the RO permeate outlet, ensuring consistent performance and quality control.

Highlights

Compact Design:
The RO plant has a space-efficient size of 2.5 feet x 2.5 feet x 5 feet, accommodating the complete system, including interconnecting pipelines, pump, membrane, control panel, and other essential components.

Plug-and-Play Operation:
The system is designed for easy installation and immediate use, featuring the latest equipment for enhanced durability and performance.

No Antiscalant Required:
Unlike traditional RO plants, high-pressure auto-flushing maintains the membrane, eliminating the need for antiscalant dosing and significantly reducing recurring expenses.

User-Friendly Controls:
The system includes an online voltmeter, flow meters, panel lights, and push-in starter switches, making operation straightforward and convenient.

Auto Flush Valve:
The auto-timed flush valve extends the membrane’s life by reducing scaling and fouling.

Fully Automatic Functionality:
The plant can operate automatically with features like a low-pressure switch and a tank-full sensor, ensuring hassle-free performance.

No Operator Needed:
The system is designed for automatic operation with level sensors, eliminating the need for manual supervision.

Space-Saving Design:
Its compact and efficient design maximizes space utilization, making it ideal for locations with limited space.
